IN the TV2 Charlies seriesucces ‘nursing school’, which soon will premiere with its second season, playing Molly Egelind the female lead, Anna, who in the 1950s chose to train to be a nurse in spite of its overklassebaggrund.

And for the young actress have the required preparation to put themselves into the role as a student nurse.

Along with her fellow players, she has before and during filming got the help of a former nurse to understand how to handle the job and all of its features.

– She has given us a crash course in how to be a nurse. We have learned something drypvis along the way, and I’m mega geeky, so I just sucks all the knowledge to me.

– I have among other things learned to take the blood pressure of a patient, and we really try to be as correct as we possibly can, in relation to how to pronounce a Latin sygdomsnavn or performs a particular procedure, says 31-year-old Molly Egelind.

She knows how much it means to it, that comes on screen is authentic. If one of Molly Egelinds hobbies are being manufactured incorrectly at the movies, she loses even the interest.

– I can enormously like to knit, so if there is a person in a movie, sit and knit, and I’m thinking that they have not mastered, so I become torn out of the fiction, she says.

In the ‘nursing school’ is the nurses often had to run extra fast and work over, and in a section from the first season, resulting even in a medication errors.

And although much has changed since the 1950s, so is the pressure on staff remains a challenge in today’s hospital sector.

In the work with her the role of Molly Egelind had their eyes opened to how hard today’s nurses can have it.

– In many areas there has been something in relation to how the staff at Fredenslund (the show’s hospital, red.) treats his patients and talks to them, but in other areas, one must shake their heads over, that we have not reached any longer, she says.

– I think that will be made unjust claims to the hospital staff, in relation to how fast they must run, how much they need to achieve, and how much that should be made more effective. As actors we are hugely privileged, because we can help to illuminate it, and the series can hopefully be to be a part of a discourse on how we choose to prioritize the hot hands in the hospital, she says.

Molly Egelind doubt that she would be able to cope being a nurse in a real hospital, after she has gained insight into the job during his research.

– But I probably would be able to fake my way through it. It is the advantage of being an actor. When I have to talk with my bank, I play also, which is good to have a conference call with his bank, she says with a big grin.

the First season of ‘nursing school’ was sent in the autumn of 2018, and had, according to TV2 in the average 489.000 viewers to each section.

Molly Egelind is overwhelmed by the reception, as the show’s first season has been, and that the film was nominated for an award at the Zulu Awards 2019, despite the fact that the series will be shown on TV2 Charlie, which most caters to the older audience.

Molly Egelind has also received messages from male nursing students, who think that the series is good.

– It is really cool to notice when the series arouses interest and resonated with them, even studying, she says.
