1000 housing units to be demolished, and between 2500 and 3000 people losing their homes, when the ghetto Vollsmose to be torn down.

the Extra Leaf could Wednesday to document which homes from the district who have been inside the municipality’s considerations for the demolition. We have done this in order to give a picture of the extent of the demolitions and the forced relocation of residents, which must follow in the wake of it.

– If the level holds, it looks good enough out violently. It is quite wild, much needs to be demolished. It is wilder than anyone could have imagined, saith the beboerrepræsentant in Vollsmoses board of directors, Thomas Skov Jensen, who lives in Lærkeparken.

the Draft plan as well as the final plan has not yet been published, the residents in Vollsmose have not been aware of the municipality’s plans, and the plan is not finally adopted.

Neither mayor Peter Rahbæk Juel (S), or the responsible head of strategy and transformation in the municipality, Michael Bruhn Frederiksen, has been to get in to talk about the plans.

– working with the plan right up to the beboermøderne in the beginning of may, where we will present the final draft plan. In the period there may be changes in the plan, said Michael Bruhn Frederiksen, who in addition had no comments.

on Wednesday evening issued the municipality, however, a press release in which they acknowledge that 1000 dwellings in Vollsmose to be torn down, but call the Ekstra version of the plan for ‘obsolete’.

– It is clear that there is an outdated copy (of nedrivningsplanen, ed.), which is continuously revised, and which still is being worked on.

The buildings, which appear as the ones that need to be demolished, is not the right buildings. It is true that there to be torn about 1000 homes down. But it is not decided which homes will be talking about yet, it says in the press release.

In the press release, says Michael Bruhn Frederiksen:

– of course, I am møgærgerlig about it here. Ekstra story to come, unfortunately, to create a lot of uncertainty for many people, if the dwelling is not affected.

for The same reason, has Extra Leaf repeatedly over several weeks trying to get the Odense Municipality to make up to the interview about the crushing of the district of Vollsmose. However, it has not been possible.

Even after pressemeddelelsens broadcast, it has been possible to get a comment from Odense’s mayor, Peter Rahbæk Juel.

The final draft of the development plan for Vollsmose will be presented to area residents at meetings 7. may 2019.
