From bourdaloue to bardaloue

a Few years ago, closed last café of Beert the doors. Now there is finally again a pub in the city centre. In the shadow of the Saint-Augustinuskerk was Bardaloue under the baptismal font held. “The name comes from bourdaloue, a famous pear cake from France. I’m in my heart for years lost to Paris and go there regularly in the city. Every time I go to the same pastry to ‘une tarte bourdaloue’ to taste. The owner gave me finally the recipe of bourdaloue. I found it eventually, a suitable name for my coffee shop. All I have it a little distorted: Bardaloue.”
