Jamal Khashoggi, wrote the forward to his death, critical of the saudi kingdom, among other things, the Washington Post.

He was killed on the Saudi Arabia consulate in Istanbul on 2. October.

He was at the consulate in order to obtain the papers, which were to be used in connection with an upcoming wedding.

After repeated denials of the assassination confirmed the authorities in Saudi Arabia the month after the killing. Saudi Arabia says that the killing was done by a group, which had not been given an order for it.
