Ricardo Moniz is rarely in work quite a long time at a time, but fortunately for the former Randers coach is he really skilled to get jobs.

Now he has landed a job number 16 in the trænerkarrieren.

Moniz has thus been presented as the new head coach of the Excelsior, currently second to last in the Dutch Æresdivison and are therefore fighting a fierce battle for survival in the best league.

The former Superliga coach has five matches to save the club.

– It is a great honor. It is a great club, which certainly belongs in Æresdivisionen. It is an authentic club, which always has been himself.

– It suits me fine that we have five finals, and the mission for the coming weeks is straightforward – the survival of the Æresdivisonen, says Ricardo Moniz, who is himself from the city of Rotterdam and thus move back to the city where he was born.

Excelsior previously had Jon Dahl Tomasson and John Lammers in the lead, and now trying the club, then, with Ricardo Moniz, who most recently has been in the Slovak club AS Trencin.

Ricardo Moniz’s first fight in the forefront of the Excelsior is on Saturday, away to AFC Ajax.
