The majority become a little rounder with age. This also applies to the angular Citroën Berlingo, which, however, still hold on to the forms in the latest bottling.

Here is the Ritter Sport-shaped body preserved together with the sliding door, simply because it was most convenient for a car that is built 100 percent around usability.

Under the steel plates are in turn, judged less van and more comfort in the cabin. We test the younger familiecontainer with a diesel engine of 100 hp, ‘Iconic’equipment as well as a nice stack of extras that include keyless start, head-up display parking sensors and the ‘Modutop’glass roof with extra aflæggerum. It gets the total price to mount up to 295.000 euros.

the Citroën Berlingo is available, however, from 185.000 dollars with the lowest udstyrstrim, ‘Street’, and a diesel engine of 75 hp.

Testbilens variant with 100 hp is with its high torque and good fuel economy of 25 km/l (after the new WLTP-norm) is a good choice for the car. There are both weight and drag to move, and it makes the smooth-running diesel engine good.

It is, however, also, about how many kilometres you drive per year. Citroën also offers the car with an excellent petrol engine of 110 hp, which is performing at 18.9 km/l and costs 230.000 euros.

Huge spacious
You is still up and not in a Citroën Berlingo, which shares the platform with Peugeot Nicks and Opel Combo. The new model is the third generation of the Berlingo, which formed the school at its debut back in 1996 and since has almost become an icon.

Although the wide front doors and the two sliding doors for the rear seats are somewhat heavy to juggle with, forgive the fight, when the first one sits in the huge cabin.

Here are just as high to the ceiling as in a barn, and the ‘Modutop’roof, which costs 20.000 Danish crowns, is the price premium worth it. The glass roof not only provides more light, it also offers plenty of aflægningsplads with a large glove box called ’Top Box’ and a longitudinal storage box.

the Cabin is filled with space to pikpak, while the cargo area is huge 675 litres.

On the way there is still a little heavy varevognsfornemmelse of the Berlingo. It is not a car you throw around the small sogneveje, but in exchange wins the on the countries and the highway, where it is steady and is really nicely støjdæmpet.

In the interior is the gear lever placed high and lies well in the hand, like the buttons and knobs in the dashboard sits right. However, you should just get used to the vertical arrangement.

Finish and quality experience is also more practical than luxurious with many hard surfaces, which in turn is easy to wipe clean with a cloth, if the kids mess up.

Basisudstyret in the cheapest of the ‘Street’version count emergency brake with fodgængerregistrering, air conditioning and cruise control. It is reasonable, but no more, and the last twenty thousand dollars to the ‘Iconic’-the level is well spent.

the Next udstyrstrin include among others air conditioning, parking sensors and a infotainmentskærm on the eight inch, which has Apple CarPlay and DAB Plus radio. Later, following both a diesel – and the petrol engine of 130 hp and an automatic gearbox of eight steps.

the Citroën Berlingo can also be ordered with a third row of seats and space for seven. It is available only as ‘Iconic’model and costs approximately 10,000 dollars more than the model with the standard length. the

Conclusion
If the need for a pure practitioner is present, there are not many that can match the angular icon. And Citroën is true to the concept with the new model.

the Berlingo is still a gennemærlig car, which shows what it is. It is rustic, but has also become more velfriseret and smaller van. You can easily take long stretches in the car, without the work strenuous.
