the Woman was enrolled in inpatient care on a psykiatriklinik in the northwest of Stockholm in the summer of 2017, when she gradually got increasingly into trouble with headaches, nausea, and loose stools. The woman was posted for increasing depressive complaints, but at the same time had multiple somatic problems.

Among other things, treated her for diabetes type 2, according to the news agency Siren with reference to a decision from the Inspectorate for health and social care, Ivo, 19 december.

increasing towards the end of the approximately two weeks the woman was a patient at the clinic, she complained and expressed that she needed to care for their physical problems. The responsible physician assessed at the time that this is not needed.

”Then the patient was not allmänpåverkad or showed signs of serious physical illness is considered not justified medicinkonsultation in the department”, in Ivo’s decision. The reason for the discomfort was adopted instead be side effects of the medication that the patient received on the ward, and would probably soon go over.

Vattenförgiftning is a condition that can lead to edema formation in the internal organs, including the brain. One of the symptoms are headaches, and among those patients who are at risk are people with diabetes.
