“Rolf Lassgård: ”It’s a play – deadly serious””

“the lives of many. In 2010, 58-year-old priest and trebarnspappan Åke Roxberg out that Ann-Christine and live in the day as a woman. Daughter Ester Roxberg wrote an acclaimed book about what it was like to lose a parent and get another.”

“Now the story is becoming a feature film, with Rolf Lassgård and Hedda Stiernstedt.”

“– I have scrutinised the book and met Ann-Christine. Then it should to a degree of play in this, a play on the bloody deadly serious, ” says Rolf Lassgård.”

“It gets a lot of tv, and filming here in the area in the near future. Moa Gammel directs a new LasseMaja-adventure. Kjell Bergqvist plays Leif GW Persson’s anti-hero Evert Bäckström in a tv-series. But first out is the ”My dad Marianne”. Rolf Lassgård, Hedda Stiernstedt, director Mårten Klingberg / producer Charlotta Denward met the media at the Grand Hotel Alingsås before the inspelningsstarten this week.”

“– It put itself directly in the heart. Since then, it has been a long process. We have partly left the book, the film requires a dramaturgy for it to be a journey that really feels.”

“Why have the names changed. Now it’s father Lasse, who becomes Marianne. The daughter named Hanna in the movie.”

“Regiuppdraget went to Mårten Klingberg.”

“– I immediately felt that it could be a film in a style – feelgood-dramakomedi – which I both like and is quite good at, if I may say so myself, ” says Mårten and continues, half-jokingly, half-seriously, that he has made films on three themes:

“– are the crimea (six Beck-movies), another is sport (”Offside”), a third is men in dresses. But the ”Cockpit” (2011) was a classic crossdressingkomedi where a man (Jonas Karlsson) dresses up as a woman to solve a problem. It is the old, ever since Shakespeare. This is about transsexuality, it is more realistic.”

“He has done his research. Met Ann-Christine, of course. Talked with people from the RFSL, pyskologer, some from transvärlden that he feels.nRolf Lassgård has also met Ann-Christine, during a long lunch.”

” It was very enjoyable and rewarding.”

“He was captivated not only by their own role, but the entire film’s perspective.”

” It’s not just a person to ”come out”, but a whole family. The daughter’s journey to accept this… she will be in any way the rest of us, the audience, with our prejudices, how open-minded we are.”

“the Daughter of Hanna is played by Hedda Stiernstedt, via the television series ”Our time is now” is now one of our most famous faces. She has chosen not to meet with the Ester Roxberg.”

“– I’ll do it later. It has not been important for the process, but perhaps rather an obstacle for itself, of Hanna in the movie is even more laid-off from the Ester than the film Marianne is from Ann-Christine. The situation that occurs with the father, forcing her out of her own navelskåderi, ” she says.”

“And what says Ann-Christine about being portrayed by Rolf Lassgård?”

” I know that I got her blessing over lunch. I got a feeling that she has seen a lot of what I have done, ” says Rolf Lassgård.”

“the Producer Charlotta Denward says:”

“– When we told you about the actors, she was just blank in the eyes. ”Oh, it was the finest thing she could think of,” she said.”
