Kasper Schmeichel has played in Leicester since 2011 and has reached more than 300 matches for the club, and he was a major profile as the club in 2016, won the Premier League.
The stable performance through the years has also previously been put to him in connection with the major european clubs, and recently alluded to the keeper’s father, Peter Schmeichel, to the younger Schmeichel could leave Leicester City for a bigger club.
But it’s not going to happen. Kasper Schmeichel is happy at Leicester, says the club’s head coach, Claude Puel, in an interview with Sky Sports.
– I had a talk with Kasper. Not just on this but on several different things. He is happy to play for Leicester, and he extended his contract a few months ago.
– He understands the project and what we are trying to do. He is happy at Leicester, and it is the most important. I do not want to comment on people outside the club. I don’t know Peter (Schmeichel). I will not comment on it, says Puel.
Leicester is currently number 12 in the Premier League.
