At the UN climate change conference in Katowice, Germany – unlike in the past – hardly any impulses for climate protection. The reason is that the Federal government targets its self-imposed climate by 2020 by a long shot, is missing. The German Delegation got in Katowice, the negative price of the “Fossil of the day” from the international Climate Action Network awarded.
In an Interview with tagesschau24 environment Minister Svenja Schulze admits error – praised but improvement. “We need to learn from this and now the reduction target by 2030,” said the SPD-politician in Katowice. This is to reduce 2030 CO2 emissions by 55 percent compared to 1990.
