“It was a complete shock and a surprise,” says an emotional Sean Combs at the magazine Essence. “It shook me awake and turned my whole life upside down. It was the most bizarre, traumatic event that I have ever experienced. When someone says that you hit or that the deep wounds, saves, or that your world is upside down, though: this was all those things in one.” He continues: “Anyone who is a mother or a soul mate is lost: it takes time. They say that time heals all wounds, but when the mothers are concerned … I think that it is not the case.”

Kim Porter and Sean Combs had no relationship when she was in 2018 died of a pneumonia, but they were more than ten years together and have three kids together: a son, Christian, and twins, D’Lila and Jessie. Combs fed also Kim’s son Justin from a previous relationship.

Combs confesses in the interview with Essence that he has but one thing to regret: that he not fairer was, is, about his love for her. “I was not completely honest about my love for her,” he says. “Not against myself and not against the people with whom I had a relationship. I have no regrets about the things that happened. That have gone the way God wanted him to. But I have with love is played and you would not be allowed to play.
