the Irish The Cranberries became unimaginably big in the early 90s with a pop music composed of elements from The Smiths, The Cure, the band’s b-sides and the Banshees and the then-recently defunct Seattlegrungen. They got some well-deserved but svåruthärdliga hit songs and Dolores O’riordan, who sang and wrote most of it, was rightfully acclaimed for that shattered a glass ceiling.
At the beginning of 2018 drowned her tragic in a hotellbadkar after drinking too much. Album ”In the end”, built around the records that never came, she left, however, is a dignified end to a staggering career. It sounds neat, but incredibly dated, old producer Stephen Street has recycled all of its indiegrepp.
make this a sensible album is that the songs are of good class and that the O’riordan – which, admittedly, could take in too much – sings unusually low-key, nice and nuanced.
