Leuven Each Bleyaert and Lizelotte Vandenplas, both from Leuven, Sunday, their first step into the competitive unknown. They venture to the Grand Raid Nisramont, Luxembourg: a contest running, kayaking and cycling combines. Bleyaert has the sportmicrobe of no strangers, because they’re the girlfriend of professional cyclist Jasper Stuyven.
a Very long time had not thought about her participation in the Grand Raid Nisramont. “That I have on an evening with a friend decided. She called me with the question whether we should not start”, tells Every. “I wanted to really love more mountain biking, so I thought: ‘Why not?’ We have the same evening registered.”
Competitive set
The walk is already a strength of Each. The past few months, she explained, though some trails with success. “The part on the bike will be the biggest challenge, partly due to a solid number of meters,” she says. “But, anyway, it is a fun challenge. I want to mainly gain experience, the experience, and it is safe to get through. I admit: I’m competitive. So, let us say, the smoother the better!”
