The 44-year-old Brunner was elected in 1995 as the youngest national councillor of all time. He was then 21 years old. He would have competed the next legislature in a year, he would become the youngest President. He decided otherwise. Today, he cancels in Bern, after 23 years of national policy in their tents. In the national Council, he was honored with a speech by President of the national Council Marina Carobbio and a long Standing Ovation.
