In an election you vote for the policies of a particular party. That’s the theory. In the European elections, many want to but mainly to vote against something. At least that’s the conclusion of a recent survey.

Every tenth voter Europeans is determined according to a survey, in the European elections at the end of may to vote for right-wing populist or extreme right-wing parties. This is the result of a study commissioned by the Bertelsmann Foundation. Thereafter, the share of these voters is 10.3 percent. On the other hand, 6.2 percent of respondents reported at least sure to select extreme left-wing or left-wing populist parties.

Around 52 per cent said, however, that they would give their voice never parties from these spectra. For comparison: according to The study, the proportion of those who want to select in each case, the Green is only 4.4 percent.
