Jose Antonio Oria, councilor for Strategic Management, Promotion, Commerce and Tourism, and Javier Camello, vice president of Chamber of Commerce, presented the first edition of ‘Andujar es Gastronomy’ Fair. It will be held next Friday, June 17 at 8:00 p.m. in Plaza de la Constitucion. Andujar Esta de Moda is the collective behind the initiative. It aims to promote the agrifood and gastronomic sectors of the town as well as the commercialization of Andujar products.
There will be 22 businesses and companies from the municipality exhibiting products like honey, wine, liqueurs and sausages. Visitors to the Fair can also enjoy tasting the various products that are well-known and accepted within the city and outside. Funds from the raffle of these products will be donated to the Association of Alzheimer’s Patients Afa Andujar.

The group’s president thanked the City Council, thanking them for supporting the event. “This serves to encourage consumption, traditional commerce, giving necessary visibility, different businesses in Andujar after a very difficult platform due to the pandemic,” Montse Garrido stated during her presentation.
Oria, the head of the municipal area for Commerce, stated that the fair’s main purpose is to increase agri-food trading and promote local products. This is a real attraction to all who visit us throughout our year>>. Oria confirmed that his government will support the necessary actions hand in hand with local associations and groups to help the municipality’s recovery.
Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce, praised the effort of the institutions involved in this initiative. He also welcomed the fact the groups are regaining their strength following the pandemic. They will continue to show the value of the products of land.
