The white Toyota Tundra pickup was with Allyn Pierce’s own words, his ‘dream car’. And the 8. november led him directly through the devastating fire, which at the time had spread to his hometown, Paradise, California.
Not one, but two times he used his private car to drive the patients to safety from the hospital, where he worked as a nurse. And the pick-up, as he had given the nickname ‘Pandra’, withstood both the heat and the flames that licked up along the car’s sides.
Allyn Pierce has recounted the incident to the Washington Post. Here he mentions, among other things, how the engine was running, although the road was suddenly blocked, and he was forced to stop the car in the middle of the conflagration.

And the promise kept the Toyota. According to the media Motor1 have Allyn Pierce already got a brand new and almost identical to the Toyota Tundra pickup to run around in.

The new car does not change the fact that Allyn Pierce like many others, has lost both his home and work in skovbranden. However, he is after all, still among the lucky ones, who have come out the other side alive.
According to ABC News getting the fire under control on Sunday, and at least 85 have lost their lives in the 18 days, the fire has ravaged California.
Although the new Toyota Tundra can immediately look like a generous gift from the Toyota USA, the producer will be of some use again. In a reply to one of her Instagram followers writing Allyn Pierce, that Toyota USA is the original ‘Pandra’, and that the plan is to show it off at the motorudstillinger with more.
It is in fact not the first time Toyota has managed to prove to a worldwide audience, to the manufacturer’s pickups are highly durable.
