A plane with Danish holidaymakers are stranded in the Bangkok airport.
the Aircraft should have been in the air Friday at 10 o’clock Danish time, but due to a technical error, the plane never come on the wings.
And since they have approximately 260 passengers felt left to fend for themselves.
It says Magnus Juul, who is on holiday with his girlfriend and their two children.
– We are trying to keep their spirits up, but we know not what we do. We have not been given anything to know besides a meeting with a representative who could not answer something, he says.
the Danes were gathered for a briefing, but there was no answer on when they came home.
Magnus Juul can see that there are flights to Copenhagen on Monday, but the family has not heard whether they can get away. He is considering to buy the tickets, but he fears that the Norwegian will not compensate them.
– I have already spent four hours in the phone with their customer service, and it is the race up in the 1800 crowns (price for call, red.). We have been told that we should go into town and enjoy ourselves, but it is frustrating, for we don’t know if they cover anything, says Magnus Juul, who has been 14 days on Koh Kood in southeast Thailand.
But it does not go. If there are faster connections, passengers must be offered these.
the Airlines must provide passengers on as soon as possible. And if they don’t, passengers shall have the right to get both the money back from the airline, and get paid on any cost overrun that may be on a different and faster connection, they have found, writes Berlingske.
Peter Fischer also is stranded in the airport with his family. He is frustrated that the Norwegian not book one of the other planes.
– flying ten aircraft an hour to Europe, so that they comply with the rules, but it’s all about money for them, he says.
He says, that the danes tried to keep together at the hotel in the airport. But people have been sent on other flights, and several have moved from the hotel.
– It is quite uncomfortable, for it is the fight of everyone against everyone to get home, he says.
Peter Fischer and family are among the lucky ones who has been offered a departure on Monday, he says.
Norwegian will not answer specific questions from the Extra Leaf, but pressekonsulent Charlotte Holmbergh Jacobsson responds in an email:
– We regret, of course, the bug and have a full understanding of the problems that it creates for the passengers. We do everything we can to take care of them in the best possible way. We have booked over 160 passengers on other flights. The approximately 100 passengers, who are left, we will do everything we can to get home as soon as possible. We keep them updated on the SMS, she writes.
