Bruges Kunstschilderswinkel House Van Loocke, the favorite case of Kamagurka and Herr Seele, is celebrating its 75th anniversary in Bruges. Creative people will find something to their oil, tekenpotloden or easel. “Despite the internet, customers can find it so important to personally get advice”, explains Françoise Alleyn to her success.

They are quite unique in Bruges. In the last few years are, after all, quite a few shops with a drawing and schildersproducten disappeared. So it is not surprising that there are customers from all over the world, in Flanders to the Ezelstraat drive for their favorite brands. That is not the cheapest materials. “We stand for quality and that has a price”, says Françoise Alleyn (56). “Customers are for us through the years a little family. We saw them grow up, setbacks process on canvas, and back scratching. Often they call me their psychologist.”

At the end of 1944, just after the Second world War, started by Marcel Van Loocke the House Of Loocke on. That was still in the Sint-Jakobsstraat. Pencils, paintbrushes and canvases were then combined with drugstore. Marcel’s daughter Ghislaine Van Loocke and put the case further in the Noordzandstraat. They ran the House Of Loocke 35 years and traded there are also cosmetic products.
