54,504 Corona cases were reported to the RKI yesterday.

In the previous week comparison, there is a minus of ten percent.

This is the 29th consecutive business day of a week-on-week decline.

The downward trend in the number of cases is still intact.

The 7-day moving average is at the lowest level since June 8th.

The nationwide 7-day incidence is increasing, presumably because after the nationwide reporting strikes at the weekend, late reports were made on Monday.

It climbs from 243 to 247.

In six federal states, however, it is falling – despite the late reports.

The number of urban and rural counties with an incidence greater than 500 falls to eight.

This is the lowest level since June 8th.

What is striking: The four districts with the currently highest incidence are all in Bavaria.

And folk festivals have recently taken place everywhere:

in the independent city of Straubing (incidence: 909) the “Gäuboden folk festival”, in Dachau (678) the “folk festival” and in Kronach (659) the “free shooting”.

In addition, there is the district of Straubing-Bogen (814) surrounding the city of Straubing.

The festivals have each lasted ten to eleven days and are now nine and ten days in the past.

Other festivals, such as the “Autumn Festivals” in Erding and Rosenheim, have only just begun.

And from September 17th to October 3rd follows by far the biggest of all festivals: the Oktoberfest in Munich.

119 corona deaths were reported to the RKI yesterday.

That’s 27 fewer than a week ago.

The 7-day moving average drops to 82 – the lowest level since July 11th.
