the Minister believes that Denmark has reached the limit of how many fish that can be farmed at sea, without compromising the environment.
In Denmark, there are currently 19 fish, there are sea cages, where the breeding fish.
She believes, instead, to concentrate on raising fish in ponds on land.
– I am concerned about the state of our aquatic environment, and I don’t look for me that we get more or bigger fish in Denmark at the present time.
– We shall be a pioneer green country, also when it comes to fish farming, and that is why we bet on a sustainable development of the aquaculture sector, says Lea Wermelin in the press release.
