From classic kassevogne of converted passenger cars to pickups. When this year’s edition of the Year Points must be named on the transportmessen in Messecenter Herning, it is not in advance to say what type of van that runs with the victory.
Again in the years spanning the field of nominees vans namely so wide that it is difficult to say something about them all together, in addition to they all of course fall into the category of vans.
It tells the journalist Carsten Tein, which is a part of the jury, as Motorjournalisternes Club Denmark has assembled to judge the varebilerne.
– There are large and small kassebiler, electric and hybrid, and those that offers the absolute latest in safety equipment and technology. One can therefore safely say that the cars are spread nicely across the spectrum, says Carsten Teiner, which, however, will not yet reveal the exact nature of the vans there this time of the year nominees for the coveted title.
In the year it will be 20 years ago, to this Year’s Van the first time was named, and over time, has nine different brands taken the title home. From the Opel and the Ford over the Mazda and Fiat to Citroen and Peugeot, and the field in the years is supposedly just as varied.
Varebilerne will be judged by the same criteria, but it is up to each juror to rank the cars according to their own preferences to what a van should be able to, explains Carsten Teiner.
– The nominated cars will be piloted and tested with and without full load, but where one judge put most emphasis on security, put a second maybe more weight on the driving comfort and a third on the car’s design options. On the way, it is up to the individual to find the car, which in his eyes is contributing the most new, says jurymedlemmet.
For his part, put Carsten Teiner most emphasis on safety and comfort while driving, but also the latest in technological solutions in the varebilen count high in his books.
The five vans that scores the most points from the judges, constitute the finalefeltet and will be exhibited in Hall C during Transport 2019, so the audience will also have an opportunity to explore them and find their own favorites.
the Year Points will be declared then on Thursday 21. march on transportmessen. And according to Carsten Teiner can the winner take more than the credit with the home – also the bottom line can usually mark the victory.
– It is a nice title to have, and it can of course be used in the marketing of the car subsequently, and to have sold a little more of them. If it just the car that fits the majority, is not certain, but in any case it is the that has brought the most new to the table in years, he says.
