Today, the Department of Youth completed the June awareness campaign by completing the final touches to the International Pride Day manifesto. The flags of the LGTBI movement have lit up the facade of Consistory over the past weeks. Adrian Molina, the Councilman of the Municipal Corporation, delivered a very vindictive speech in the company of several municipal members.
“I am proud and happy that the City Council represents the colors the rainbow, which is a symbol for the LGTBI pride. It’s difficult to describe in words what people feel at different times in their lives. It can be difficult to describe the feelings that we feel when someone says something to our faces or behind our backs. “It is difficult to feel ashamed in social situations or different life situations because of people who don’t understand the concept of love,” said the young mayor of Hueteno.

Adrian Molina stressed that this year was the “pride of the new normality”. He said that “this normality must be even better than the last one.” A normality that is charged with visibility, struggle and diversity, but above all freedom. No one should decide who we must love. In this new normality, love must be diverse to counter the virus of intolerance. Love is love without limits, without complexes and without cliches.
The Councilor for Youth and the Elderly focuses on bullying situations: “We must continue fighting so the new normal erases LGTBI injures from the blackboards schools and institutes. Bullying is an English word we don’t know how conjugate. There are still young people and children who must hide their sexuality in schools to avoid harassment.
Molina called for the “street to be a safe space for the LGTBI community.” He also acknowledged transsexuals and encouraged the sports industry, “so all the people living in disguise on the team can take off masks, so the changing rooms lockers don’t become locked cabinets.”
