Yesterday, the El Ejido City Council approved the asphalting plan for La Higuera’s rural road. It is located in the middle of Las Norias de Daza. The road, classified according to the General Urban Development Plan as a Level 1 rural road, runs between the Puesto Rubio road and the A-7 service road. The local government will allocate close to 250,000 euros to this project.

This action aims to pave a road that is structurally sound but is still on the ground. It will improve the safety and functionality of the road. Before paving, work will be done to ensure proper drainage of water. Currently, this water accumulates in rainy episodes making it difficult to drain.

The road has a section of 160 m paved in its southern portion. However, the remainder of the route is on a sloped consolidated land that is mostly flat. Some plot points have problems with rainwater evacuation.

The execution of signaling, beaconing, and road marking for the entire road will follow.
