Antwerpen mayor Bart De Wever (N-VA) throws himself in the fight against the tienerpooiers. He closes the hotel Le Sud in Antwerp South for one month because there tienerpooiers are caught. A minor girl who was forced there customers and receive the money to her pimp. Against the pimp runs a criminal investigation.
Hotel Le Sud is officially a budget friendly hotel for tourists, business people or romantic couples. “Our hotel is situated in the vibrant area of the city of Antwerp-South, but at the same time is very quiet so sleeping is no problem.”
As it says on the website to read. The practice is however different. Hotel Le Sud has a reputation as a hot spot for lovers or prostitutes who have a room for a quick rocker need.
The hotel was already several times discussed during processes against tienerpooiers. As the tienerpooier Samir F. that photos of his stay in Le Sud on his Facebook page put. He was at the end of 2015 and sentenced to 8 years in prison.
The police also proposed in 2017 is already a process-verbal against hotel Le Sud for rape of a minor.
Stolen car
The Antwerp public prosecutor opened in October 2018 an investigation against two tienerpooiers after they together with a underage girl in a stolen car was stopped. The car was owned by a customer of the tienerhoertje.
The minor girl, confessed that they since september, customers have received, on behalf of their pimps. The appointments took place in a room of hotel Le Sud. The receptionist never took the trouble to her identity check. An employee of the hotel confirmed that there are daily different customers franchise in the girl’s room.
For mayor Bart De Wever is the size full. He closes Le Sud for at least one month.
Spokesman Johan Vermant: “In several cases of sexual exploitation of teenage girls coming to this hotel as a place for such distressing facts. That brings a heavy responsibility for the management and the staff of the hotel. The hotel has no sound registration system for the identity of customers. Repetition of facts from tells is therefore not to exclude. Therefore, connect the mayor to the hotel. If there is about a month, however, a reliable registration system, the hotel can reopen.”
Thailand
the owners of The hotel Le Sud were at a hearing at the mayor De Wever invited. The principal shareholder was not present. He resides mostly in Thailand. According to his lawyer, the owner has already intervened. The previous general manager of Le Sud is dismissed. His replacement has a registration system for customers in a point.
Hotel Le Sud still have a month to close. The judicial investigation against the tienerpooiers is now being pursued.
