Kruisem It last night burnt in a house at the Ouwegemstraat in Ouwegem (Kruisem). The resident was taken to the hospital, because he was a lot of smoke it had inhaled.
The fire was something about five hours in the bedroom on the first floor. The resident, a man of 31 years could skedaddle and was unharmed, but had lots of smoke inhaled and is therefore brought to the hospital.
The bedroom of the man is completely burnt out. Other rooms on the first floor of the house were heavy rookschade. Teams of the brandweerposten Kruishoutem and Gavere could prevent, that the fire expanded, but the house is uninhabitable.
Mattress on fire
According to the initial findings would the fire originated on a mattress. How the fire is affected is still unclear.
