The French prosecutor’s office withdrew Tuesday the charges of rape against the american hiphopper Chris Brown. It came to pass, after he on Monday were arrested in Paris on suspicion of rape.
According to sources in the French police, Brown was arrested and remanded in custody along with a bodyguard and a friend.
A 24-year-old woman had told, that she on Tuesday in the previous week met the 29-year-old american rapper at a nightclub near the Champs-Élysées, and she went with him and the other two to the exclusive hotel Mandarin Oriental. There she was raped, she claims.
on Tuesday night, the French public prosecutor’s office that Brown is released, and the charges are dropped, but the investigation continues.
Chris Brown in a now deleted tweet told clearly what he thinks on the matter. It writes E!News.
‘I want to make it absolutely clear that this is false and a game of shit. For my daughter and my family, this is disrespectful and against my character and my morals. This bitch is lying’, wrote Chris Brown.
Chris Brown’s defender, Raphael Chiche, stating that his client denies the charge of rape, and that he will sue the 24-year-old woman for defamation of character.
It is not the first time Brown has ended up in the police spotlight.
His name has for several years been associated with a number of cases of violence.
When it emerged that in 2009 he had beaten his then-girlfriend, singer Rihanna, he avoided, however, in prison. He received instead a conditional sentence and 180 hours of community service.
Since then, he has been accused of beating his manager and threatening a woman with a gun.
Chris Brown has since the mid 00’s has been known for its releases, and tracks such as ‘Run It’, ‘With You’, ‘Kiss Kiss’ and ‘Forever’.
