The australian vet Jonathan Howard got Tuesday 26. February an unusual patient in his clinic.

On his clinic facebook page describes Howard how he was lodged at the world’s næstgiftigste snake, an eastern brown snake, a home-owner, who had captured it on his property.

When the vet took an x-ray of the snake, to see if it had suffered damage during the capture, he could see that it had three undigested rats in the stomach.

the Homeowner explained that he had used rat poison to combat a problem with the small vermin, and that it was therefore likely that the snake had eaten a poisoned rat, which could eventually also to poison the snake.

in Order to prevent it from happening, chose Jonathan Howard, therefore, to stun the snake and then ‘squeeze’ the rats out of the snake’s stomach one by one.

It required extreme caution, explains Jonathan Howard, since even the smallest bit of poison in a small rift on the hand could beat an adult to death.

the Procedure went as it should, and the day after the snake ready to be put back into the wild.
