Walter Heidl, head of the Bavarian farmers ‘ Association, sees his profession, by the people, the diversity of species, desire to do injustice to the pillory.

SZ: Mr Heidl, you will manage the pigs on a farm, with 200 mast, 60 breeding sows and 40 hectares of arable land. What do you do for biodiversity?

Walter Heidl: I am participating in Agri-environment schemes, for example, I have a waters edge strip, a strip of green land between arable and forest, and since 2011, blooming frame around my corn fields.
