During renovation work, an elderly Berliner found various weapons such as a bazooka behind her bedroom wall. Emergency services secured alarm guns, shotguns, a submachine gun, several handguns and the said bazooka in the apartment, as the police announced on Facebook on Wednesday.
Accordingly, the woman had already reported the find last week. The collection came to light when the woman was renovating the bedroom with her son and sorting out belongings from her husband, who died three years ago.
According to the police, the weapons had apparently been stored by him behind an attached wall. They are to be destroyed. The woman stated that she knew nothing about the hiding place.
