“The record number of bills to the Exchequer”
“last year sent a record number of unpaid bills on to the tax collector, according to new statistics.”
“A big part of that growth comes from e-commerce and the municipalities and county councils.”
“Last year was Bailiff in 1 141 000 claims on unpaid debts, an increase of over ten per cent compared with 2017. The number of people who had not paid their bills in time and ended up with Bailiffs increased by almost eight per cent to 417 000.”
“Two groups stand out in particular in the statistics.”
“– When it comes to young adults as online shoppers, we see a clear trend among new retirees who may have taken loans and may be difficult to pay when they go down in the capital, ” says Andrea Gleerup, department head at the Bailiff.”
“Kravärenden that applies to unpaid county and kommunräkningar, for example, advance, transportation, and child care, increased exponentially in the last year. During the beginning of the year increase in these cases from around 5 000 to 13 000 a month.”
“– After it we saw that it started to fall into many applications for payment orders. I can not comment on the agreement itself but the fact that we received more applications can be a result of the agreement, ” says Andrea Gleerup.”
