Antwerp A wedding dress of a brand costs soon 1,500 euros or more. In the Antwerp thrift store on the Sint-Jorispoort, tap today at the cup for less than 50 euro. The cheapest dress can be the bride to be take for 12 euro.
Karen (31) pulled this morning with her sister Ellen (33) and mom Anne (56) to the thrift store to the Antwerp Sint-Jorispoort. Not for second-hand sofa, or crockery, but for a wedding dress. “Her sister and I are witnesses to her marriage next year,” says proud mum Anne.
“We read on Facebook that you here in the thrift store wedding dresses could buy and went on good luck. After four times was the all the price. For less than 45 euros, we bought a beautiful, stylish dress. It shines even a little bit, like my daughter. They married in June 2020, and we are addressing the ecological. No plastic on the party and a new dress.”
The bride will her gown, however, not immediately back to the thrift store. “I love him after the party for a while,” laughs Karen. Then we’ll see.”
