The phase-out of coal energy is decided. The right Signal, says Manfred Fischedick from the Wuppertal Institute for climate. But the real work to come, and it threatened a lot of mistakes.
tagesschau.de : The compromise of the coal Commission is favourably welcomed. How realistic are the plans until 2038 completely out of the coal out?
Manfred Fischedick : The period is absolutely feasible: security of supply, the competitiveness of the German industry is not at risk and the time frame is large enough for the company. But it is not done, the Federal government must now deliver and establish a Plan.
