Halle Thieves have the low-down on the enamel advertising signs of brouwerij Boon of Lembeek. The last months were already a dozen signs of cafégevels torn in the Pajottenland and the senne Valley. The brewer is to the police stepped up and is looking for tips. Probably wear out the thieves the signs to collectors. “Who such a board on the second-hand see may assume that it was stolen,” says Karel Boon.
Since september of last year, dissolving the enamel plates from brouwerij Boon of Lembeek. Café De Bascule in Bellingen, until Parliament and Concordia in Halle, germany on The Vault in Buizingen but even in Gooik far there have been thefts reported. “There are a dozen signs stolen,” says marketing manager Karel Boon. “The thieves are stealing our rectangular boards but also the new ones that we made in the form of a geuzeglas. They pry those boards loose with a crowbar from the wall, because in the meantime, we had anti-diefstalschroeven use that you don’t just come out of the wall. So they damage unfortunately, however, the board and sometimes also the facades of the cafes. I have even heard that there was one theft, even a small grinding wheel was used.”
