Fit & Healthy to introduce myself, I am Laura Van den Broeck, and this week I write on nina.be. I am an enthusiastic man in his twenties with a passion for nutritious cooking and healthy living. In daily life I work as a nutritionist and sports coach. People accompany in their path to a healthy lifestyle and to help them recognize that lifestyle to start and keep is actually not so difficult, it is my daily job. And, really what I am there every day so happy!
Just a little background: I used to be a real ‘yo-yo’there’. A girl that is the number on the scale, but not under control. Scale versus Laura, every day. 1-0, not to win the battle. Of crashdiëten (such as carbohydrates, removing fat, removing ketodieet …) to nothing at all to eat, from one sports discipline to the other … in Short, been there done that. I have it all tested. I explained the pressure is so high for myself and actually couldn’t enjoy more. Every time I saw some results, but unfortunately of very short duration. The crashdiëten and excessive sports sucked me empty and happy and energetic feeling which I had hoped was far find.
At a certain point I realized that I simply put the rudder had to be overlapping. I discovered that ordinary, smart choices, and here and there a dash move to stop all did much with my body. I lived according to my custom 80/20 principle: 80% nutritious foods and 20% ‘spielerei.’ I deleted since then, nothing more. I just started on a more nutritious food. Yes, even carbohydrates and as much as possible of the good fats. And saw that my body is slowly but surely finally started to change. Soon I felt much more energetic. In addition, I started with short work-out sessions every time I have time for. And it worked, finally I had the battle with the scales won and that in a way that is not hard to the touch.
My concept of ‘be fit, be awesome’ is aimed at anyone who is healthy wants to live, but that there would be little time, energy and money, want to get to. I joined my easiest recipes and work-outs (platform, through video support) in my first boil – and work-outboek. A healthy lifestyle does not need to be as complicated as some think. Also delete and crashdiëten hear this. Therefore, I blog for NINA, to my vision of a FIT, and AWESOME to share life and the people who made this lifestyle also want to inspire!
