Stadler Rail has been awarded a contract worth 115 million euros from the Azerbaijan railway (ADY). In order, spare parts and depot equipment are included in addition to the ten trains of the type Flirt. The first trains will be delivered in the year 2022, as the manufacturer announced on Wednesday.
The trains of the type Flirt to be configured according to the figures, in three different versions. Four trains are driven by diesel-electric (DMU) and inter-regional transport. Six trains will be electrically powered (EMU), of which three in the inter-regional transport to be used, a further three are to be construed as a Regio S-Bahn traffic.
ADY is since many years a customer of Stadler Rail. (step/sda)
