A trip to Malta for a French student (21) turned out to be a nightmare. After a night out, he had to leave a nightclub, urgent urination. When an agent him caught, he had the wrong reflex and fled. Then it went totally wrong.

Titouan Billaud (21) from Nantes stay as an Erasmus student in Granada, Spain. At the beginning of February he went with two friends for a few days holiday to the Southern European island of Malta, in the Mediterranean Sea. On their last evening, the night of 5 on 6 February, took the three to a nightclub.

When they were that morning, left, went wrong. Titouan had to urgently pee. He added that immediately the action to the word, against the wall of the nightclub. Unfortunately for the student of sports science, there was just an agent over. That spoke to him in Maltese and English on the urinating in public.

“I was in a panic”

The French student did not understand. “In a few seconds, all went wrong,” he says. “Because I couldn’t see what he said,, I put it on a walk.” Made the wrong choice. “I was in a panic. It was already 5 or 6 hours. I wanted my return flight is at 10 pm, do not miss it.”

Far he came not, however. Four agents in pursuit and got him almost immediately to address. “They flew all on me. They stomped and beat. I tried to protect my elbows. Eventually, they hammered me in the cuffs and brought me to the police station.”
