The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) warns of the risk of recession in the US and Europe in 2023 along with strong inflation, and considers that the central bank’s priority is to fight against the rise in prices.

The director general of the BIS, the Mexican Agustín Carstens, does not rule out the risk of a recession in the United States and Europe in 2023. “We are not comfortable with this forecast, but we cannot eliminate possibilities,” Carstens said at a press conference.
