Aya Nakamura’s concert in Fort-de-France ended on Saturday to the anger of some fans. Inaudible sound, seats too far from the stage, screen too small and performance too short… Spectators placed in the “gold” stands of the stand at the Pierre Aliker stadium believe they did not get value for their money, as reported by France Info Martinique.

Through a collective created on social networks, Martinicans who consider themselves “the turkeys of the joke” are asking for reimbursement of the price of the place, i.e. on average 90 euros. “Everyone looked at each other, we couldn’t hear anything! We had to listen to the songs of the public in the pits to know which song Aya Nakamura was performing,” wrote Laureen James, the spectator at the initiative of the collective, in a press release relayed by France Info Martinique.

“I was disappointed to find that these seats were actually located far from the stage. The absence of a screen large enough to compensate for this distance also contributed to spoiling our experience, by limiting the visibility and immersion that we could expect from seats in this category,” she added.

Faced with public anger, Be Prod Event, the production of the show, apologized in a message published on social networks. “We are aware that some of you have encountered problems, particularly related to technical difficulties. We would like to offer you our deepest apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused,” we can read.

The message did not appease Laureen James who is still demanding reimbursement for the tickets of injured spectators. “Without action on your part, collective and individual measures will be taken to obtain compensation for the damage suffered,” she explains. Contacted by France Info Martinique, the production claims not to have been aware of the message in question.
