Neither intellectual nor conceptual. With Bouglione, here is a real circus, devoted to the essential: presenting beautiful and good numbers *. They follow one another smoothly – Monsieur Loyal only officiates soberly to present the artists. From the first minutes, the brass instruments of the orchestra set the tone: joy and good humor. On track !
Here is the clown who makes fun of the spectators delighted at having let themselves be fooled, the Cubans whose seesaws propel them into the air, the two illusionists who pretend to miss everything but catch themselves in an abracadabra, the tightrope walker who performs feats on one hand, the aerial acts that take off with anything – a hotel trolley or two simple straps, the Italian who juggles with tennis rackets… And then there is this superb Spanish horse that Regina rides Bouglione and these little dogs who go to school and make the whole room roar with laughter.
Certainly, some artists, faithful to the good old days, remain a little in the demonstrative. We forgive them, as they excel on stage. Certainly again, for the costumes, we are still in 100% rhinestones and sequins, apart from the technicians in their traditional firecracker blue tailcoats. But none of this diminishes the charm of the cabaret-style dancers, nor the presence of a real orchestra. We then appreciate all the life that flesh-and-blood musicians breathe into the show, and the incredible difference with the artifice of the soundtracks to which the new circus has accustomed us.

What a joy this training is in symbiosis with the artists and their acts! She sets the tempo, and the whole show finds its dynamic during two fantastic hours. Thanks to the magic of the place – the Winter Circus, where you can see well from everywhere – you are transported to a completely different universe, another space-time. Bouglione disconnected us from the world. What could be better ?
