The inauguration of rue David-Bowie will take place on Monday January 8, 2024 at 4:15 p.m., on a new artery which leads to 61, avenue Pierre-Mendès-France. Following the inauguration, an evening will take place in the village hall of the town hall from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. It will be hosted by the journalist, writer and musician Jérôme Soligny, friend and biographer of the artist. A concert will be given by pianist and producer Clifford Slapper, performer of Bowie Songs One, an album bringing together new interpretations of David Bowie’s music.

The town hall of the 13th arrondissement also wishes to mark the occasion with an exhibition, at the Galerie Athéna, designed by two childhood friends of the singer of Starman (1972), the photographer Geoff MacCormack and the painter George Underwood, who created the cover. from the album Hunky Dory and The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars (1972).
