This show “will truly be the last.” In an interview with La Provence on Sunday November 12, Patrick Timsit confirmed a last and final performance at the Pasino Grand in Aix-en-Provence on November 21. “The last of the last before it’s late. There’s no scam!”, he assured.

Farewell, perhaps, thank you, it sure lives up to its name. Indeed, during this show that he has been touring for almost three years, the 64-year-old artist lists to the public the ten reasons which push him to “stop everything”. “Rather than leaving my audience via text message, I prefer to do it with a show. At first, I thought about making a best of my sketches, thinking that my audience would be happy to hear them, and I would be delighted to perform them. Then I said to myself that we would have to do two or three little things… And it gave a new show,” he reports in the promotional tape for his one on stage.

“Doing one last show to say goodbye to your audience, obviously, is very inspiring. And since it’s the last one, I who was a little shy in the previous shows, obviously, I let go a little… My goodbyes are true. But I only want one thing, which is that when I leave the room, no one believes me!”, he added.

Invited on the set of C l’hebdo on Saturday November 11 to promote Farewell, perhaps, thank you, that’s for sure, Patrick Timsit also spoke about Charles Aznavour. Unlike the singer who was on stage for as long as possible until his death in 2018, the comedian prefers to bow out while there is still time. “I’m afraid of not having anything more to say, I’m afraid of seeing too much. I prefer to say goodbye when we tell ourselves that we don’t believe it, rather than when we say to ourselves: ‘yes it’s time for you to stop Patrick’,” he explained.

In the columns of La Provence, the comedian with a 35-year career, however, reassured his fans. The actor has other projects in mind. Starring in The Last Mercenary in 2021 with Jean-Claude Van Damme and Brother and Sister (2022) by Arnaud Desplechin, the actor confirmed to our colleagues that he would not “deprive himself of doing TV, cinema and to write films” in the future.

Farewell, perhaps, thank you, that’s for sure by Patrick Timsit at the Pasino Grand in Aix-en-Provence on November 21.
