We already knew that this biographical film, which is scheduled for release in 2024, had been authorized by the family of the legendary singer. The singer’s son follows the script of the film very closely since Jean-Rachid Kallouche, the husband of his sister Katia Aznavour, co-produced it. Tahar Rahim, who did not hide the honor that bringing Grand Charles back to life represents for him, met Mischa Aznavour to discover his future character more intimately. The president of the Aznavour Prize for Words of Love spoke of this moment: “I also met Tahar Rahim, who wanted to talk a little about my father.”

And he was full of praise for the actor, who is just 41 years old, already has a rich filmography (A Prophet, Samba, Designated Guilty…): “This film is a good idea, I I really have nothing to complain about. And the choice is classy! Tahar Rahim is a great actor. Optimistic, Mischa Aznavour, definitely very enthusiastic, also associated his hopes of success with the director: “Grand Corps Malade has proven itself both in song and in cinema. It’s a good choice”. The film will be released in October 2024. La Bohème, La Bohème… should soon be revived for those under twenty.
