With her Guts World Tour, Olivia Rodrigo fights for women’s rights. On February 23, at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs, California, the 21-year-old singer kicked off her new tour. At the same time, she created Fund 4 Good, “a global initiative committed to building an equitable and just future for all”, as the official website indicates.
The initiative was announced on TikTok, a few hours before the singer took the stage in Palm Springs. “I wanted to come here and talk to you about something that’s really close to my heart,” explains Olivia Rodrigo in the video. Fund 4 Good strives to support all women, girls and individuals seeking reproductive health freedom.”
Thus, part of the profits generated by the sale of Guts World Tour tickets will go directly to the association. The opportunity for fans to go see their idol in concert while doing a good deed. For the North American leg of the tour, the former Disney Channel star will work with local chapters of the National Network of Abortion Funds “to ensure that those most affected by abortion systemic racism, misogyny and barriers to health care can get the care they deserve,” the site explains.

This is not the first time that the singer has taken the lead in defending women’s rights. In 2022, she spoke on stage, just days after the United States Supreme Court repealed the right to abortion. “I am devastated and terrified, because many girls and women are going to die because of this decision,” she told fans who came to see her at Glastonbury before performing the song Fuck You, with Lily Allen. I would like to dedicate this song to five members of the Supreme Court, who showed us that at the end of the day, they don’t give a damn about freedom.”
