Incorrigible, the poet of the hooligans will never leave “concrete”. Showing 70 springs on the clock, Renaud went on tour all over France some three months ago and today, galvanized by these encounters with his loyal audience, he has agreed to talk to our colleagues from Paris about that of which he is “Morgan”, his new companion, whom he affectionately calls Cerise.
Reassured now, his desire to please “this princess of which he is the guy” pushed him to quit smoking. In a kind of confession, he confides how his presence upset his existence: “His arrival in my life changed everything. I am madly in love.”
The author and the interpreter of My Gonzesse remembers with emotion the click which occurred at the beginning of their relationship: “… She has followed me for thirty years, but we met the first time ago. six years on the TV set of the Merci Renaud show. She wore earrings with cherries, unforgettable! That’s why I call it Cherry”.
For Cerise, – who is called Christine in the city -, Renaud now wears a pair of cherries on his forearm. He is no longer afraid to make plans for the future. And he even chose a place of love just for them: “I bought a house with her in Trentemoult, in the south of Brittany, a pretty fishing village, a house of all colors”.

While waiting to land with Cerise, Renaud must continue his tour throughout France. He will be on May 4 and 5 in Marseille, on May 9 and 10 at La Scala in Paris, on May 14 at Vinci in Tours… His last stage is scheduled for the end of 2023. Only then will he be able to sing to Cerise, “You have to say that you deserve a song for me, since I’m in love with you…”. This idea is already in his head.
