A decision that he already described as “brutal” and “senseless” which still does not pass a few months after being taken. Producer Roberto Ciurleo once again expressed his anger, in a video on Culture pass under the pretext of non-compliance with the Charter of Secularism, relays the site Jeanmarcmorandini.com.

Why such renewed irritation? Currently in Italy to present a recording of the show, the producer met the transalpine press who did not fail to return to the subject of this exclusion: “I can tell you that it is shameful, the great incomprehension,” declares Roberto Ciurleo. Journalists do not understand why, under the guise of a problem with secularism, young people do not have access to the show (…). Do we realize that people abroad know about it? They understood that a body can decide whether or not people have access to cultural content. It’s extremely serious, it’s a shame.” Before concluding that “this commission has already deprived 8,000 young people” of the show.
As a reminder, launched nationally in May 2021, the Culture Pass offers two offers. An individual formula – the young person buys everything they want among the eligible cultural goods – and an “Adage” formula. The latter “allows teachers from public and private establishments under contract to finance artistic and cultural education activities for their classes from fourth to final year”, specifies the site of the system.
The show created in 2019, now on tour throughout France and adapted abroad, which recounts the Marian apparitions to the young Bernadette Soubirous (1844-1879), is eligible for the first offer but not the second. The show’s production teams appealed to the Ministry of Education as soon as this decision was announced. Apparently a dead letter, the producer pointing out and deploring, in the video posted Wednesday morning, the inaction of the public authorities.
