Singer Noa is postponing all her concerts planned in Europe in November for “security reasons,” she says. The Israeli-American who campaigns for “peace in her country and in the world” and who wants Israelis and Palestinians to live in harmony, announced this decision on Instagram on November 5.

“Unfortunately, all my concerts in November in Europe are postponed. The tour promoters informed me that they thought my band and I would not be safe,” she shared in a video posted on the account. “I was very happy to come here, because it is very important for me to sing for peace these days. This is what I have been doing for almost 30 years, she continued. There are a lot of dangerous people out there who claim to be for peace but are actually spreading violence. So I’m going to stay at home. Hoping to return to Europe soon to share my music and my message.

The singer revealed in the 90s in France with the title I Don’t Know also shared on the social network a moment which sadly marked her life. After a peace concert in 1995, Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated in Tel Aviv by a Jewish extremist. The politician had just given a peaceful speech. “It was 28 years ago today. I was there, singing for peace, just before peace was shot in the back. Here I am again singing for peace,” she wrote in the caption to a photo of Yitzhak Rabin.

Following the Hamas terrorist attack on October 7, Noa had already postponed several performance dates. The 54-year-old singer, who is always accompanied by guitarist Gil Dor, will still perform in concert in Israel in the coming weeks.
