Between life and death. Franco-Algerian comedian Wahid Bouzidi, a popular figure in the Jamel Comedy Club troupe, suffered a stroke on Wednesday in Morocco, where he was spending his summer vacation. After being urgently hospitalized in a clinic in Marrakech, he is currently in a coma, reports the daily Nice-Matin. The 45-year-old comedian had already suffered a stroke in 2021.

Wahid Bouzidi had started in January his show Wahid… he is rising, the last performance of which took place on June 30 at the République, in Paris. The comedian was also known for his roles in the cinema, in particular in Neuilly his mother, his mother (2017), Nicky Larson and the perfume of Cupid (2018), or Alad’2 (2018).

On social networks, several Internet users called to pray for his recovery. Among them, Moundir, a former candidate for Koh-Lanta, expressed his support for “an exemplary family man, an artist and magic humorist”, in a story on Instagram.
