Anja has always felt different and when she got the diagnosis explained a lot. The older Anja became, the worse the self-confidence she gained.
Everything turned around when she met the enthusiastic Linnea Thurfjell.
– Linnea really means a lot to me. She changed my life, ” says Anja.
17-year-old Anja Rosengren from Kalmar remember when she got her diagnosis of adhd. By the time she was nine years old and had undergone investigations at the hospital. It was tough investigations that needed to be done to make the diagnosis. Anja thought it was tedious and not particularly fun having to go from school to perform the tests. All wondered where she would.
– But I didn’t really understand what adhd meant. I did not think much of the diagnosis when I was a kid, ” says Anja Rosengren.
First, a few years later, when Anja went to school, affected adhd:n her everyday. Anja has always received extra help in school, but in middle school it became more tangible. It was a new class and many wondered why she had not the same material as the other – she felt even more different.
– it felt like It was wrong of me. I felt different and was sad, ” she says.

the Feeling of not fitting in came with her to the high school. Anja’s self-image became worse and worse all the time. Until one day in October last year when everything turned around. Then got her school a visit by a lecturer.
– I had no expectations on the lecture, really. But thought maybe I could learn something, ” she says.
The one that took place in the school auditorium was Linnea Thurfjell. She is a 25-year-old enthusiast that works to improve the physical education offered for children and young people with special needs in Kalmar.
Linnea train four different teams for people with special needs. She told the young people at the school that she is passionate about people with funktionsvariationers right in the society and parasport.
