TV “Slisse & Cesar” was from 1996 to 1999, one of the succesprogramma of VTM. The last episode of the Flemish comic series that is 78 episodes long ran was, meanwhile, exactly twenty years ago, broadcast. But how is it the actors after the final episode actually perish? We went to the after.
‘Slisse & Cesar’ was the friendship between the rich insurance broker Slisse, and the rather simple Cesar central. Also Slisses wife Melanie, his children Rick, Jan and Tinneke and the ‘facteur’, the friends of the house who still to a glass of gin came to beg, made, week after week, the beautiful weather in the series. And besides, there is good news for the fans, because a number of broadcasts are currently available to review via the VTM website.

Walter Zip crept into the series in the skin of Sander Slisse. In the very first episode we saw how he was with his wife Melanie and his children, Tinneke, Rik and Jan to a new, luxurious villa in Mortsel moved. In the series he fell also on his juicy statements and glances to Melanie.
Walter died on christmas day 2002 in the Middelheimziekenhuis of Antwerp to the consequences of a stroke. Hundreds of friends, colleagues, viewers and the cast of the VTM-series have to say goodbye. “A nice man, amiable, erudite, and always witty. We’ll carry you further into our heart, Walter. And as long as that continues to knock, ‘I snap the picture. To ever, because you never know.” After the ceremony was the mortal remains of Walter Zipper buried in the urban cemetery of Herentals.
